Saltlick Smokehouse rises from the ashes to serve brunch

On Thursday, April 12th, tragedy struck Saltlick Smokehouse. At around 9:00 pm, a fire started inside the restaurant — nobody was injured, but the damage has forced them to remain closed for the rest of April.
To make the best out of an unfathomable situation, Saltlick Smokehouse and This Ain’t Hollywood have teamed up to bring the city Sunday brunch.
After a successful first brunch on April 22nd, Chef Shane and the rest of the Saltlick team will be back at it again on Sunday, April 29th. This special brunch series, affectionately called This Ain’t Saltlick, takes place between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm and hosted at Hamilton’s famous music venue This Ain’t Hollywood.
The brunch is buffet style, bringing back many Saltlick favourites. Guests can count on eating whole smoked hog, smoked brisket, scrambled eggs, mac & cheese, and fresh rolls amongst other things. There will be a cash bar for those who like their brunch a little more on the boozy side.
Entertainment will be provided in the form of live music. The lineup consists of DJ Joe Csontos, Dave Pomfret, Martin Verrall, Brisco (solo), and Tammy & Dave.
Tickets for the spectacular brunch are $25. They can be purchased in advance through Bruha, though there will be limited tickets available at the door. Debit and credit will be accepted.
