Stone House Restaurant announced its sudden closure on their website saying that it was a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The popular Burlington restaurant featured steaks and seafood with a Mediterranean twist including pizzas and pastas.

“Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent impact, we have had to close Stone House Restaurant permanently,” the message reads. “We would like to thank our guests for their support and dedication over the last 10-plus years,” read the statement on their website.
Many people in Burlington were shocked by the sudden announcement saying they were excited to return to the restaurant after it reopened from the temporary closure that started in March.
Stone House has been a staple in the city’s food scene with it being highly visible from the QEW. It has earned 4.3 stars on with almost 700 Google reviews and has built a huge following on social media.
The Burlington location is a sister restaurant to the Stone House Restaurant in Niagara. There’s been no announcement that the Niagara location will be closing any time soon.
Any gift cards purchased for the Burlington location can even be redeemed at the other location that sits on the lake in Niagara.
