Burlington’s beach adds a new accessibility ramp

The City of Burlington has made steps to making popular summer spots more accessible.

Mobi mats were added along the sand in Beachway Park as well as a city concrete ramp in order to make it more of an inclusive summer experience.

The recent additions were made to ensure that people in mobility devices can access the beach.

Beachway Park has become a popular location destination especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The park has 6.8 acres of park space and two kilometres of waterfront trails, and outdoor pavilion, and playground.
