The City of Burlington has made steps to making popular summer spots more accessible.
Mobi mats were added along the sand in Beachway Park as well as a city concrete ramp in order to make it more of an inclusive summer experience.
Great to spend some time today on our beach with awesome #BurlON residents Cindy & Tommy, hearing what the new accessible ramp & Mobi-Mats mean to them; being able to get close to the water, enjoy the beach. #Inclusion Tune in tonight at 6pm! The recent additions were made to ensure that people in mobility devices can access the beach.
Beachway Park has become a popular location destination especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The park has 6.8 acres of park space and two kilometres of waterfront trails, and outdoor pavilion, and playground.
