A drive-thru rib fest is happening in Burlington this Canada Day

Burlington’s edition of Ribfest is one of the largest in Canada with tons of food vendors and people gathering in Spencer Smith Park.

This was all before COVID-19 restrictions and, like many, Burlington’s Ribfest has adapted to a drive-thru model where locals can still get their saucy ribs on Canada Day.

Hosted by the Rotary Burlington Lakeshore Club, the Drive-Thru Ribfest will be held at the Burlington Centre from 10 am to 7 pm on Thursday, July 1st.

Some of this year’s rib vendors include Camp 31, Billy Bones BBQ, Uncle Sam’s BBQ Stand and Sticky Fingers. Other food vendors at the event are Blaze Pizza, East Side Marios, Ontario CornRoasters.com, and Tiny Tom Donuts.

Vendors will be located in the mall parking lot and visitors line up in their car through the entrance on Fairview.

Guests are expected to stay in their car the whole time with payments processed through the window of their car.

Not only will there be food, but also live entertainment while visitors wait for their rib orders. Mike Stevenson plays at noon, Adam Cooke at 2 pm and Tim Park at 4 pm.

Donations are also being accepted on site for charities and organizations such as Burlington Counselling and Family Services, Canadian Diabetes Association Summer Camp, Canadian Mental Health Association, Food Banks Canada, Halton Fresh Food Box, and Burlington Humane Society.
