Nickel Brook Brewing is opening their beer garden on Canada Day

Burlington-based craft brewery Nickel Brook Brewing Co. is officially opening their Beer Garden and Brewer’s Bazaar on Canada Day.

On July 1st, the parking lot outside the Nickel Brook Brewery on Drury Lane in Burlington will transform into a farmers’ market with local artisans selling goods from 10 am to 3 pm

The brewery’s Beer Garden will also be officially launching for the season as part of the City of Burlington entering Phase Two of reopening, which allows restaurants and bars to reopen for patio service. Their famous craft beer will be available to enjoy on a patio area with tables that are at least six feet apart.

Some of the local businesses and artists taking part in the Brewer’s Bazaar include Beaux Floral, Dalton Pompey, Studebaker Pub and Grill, Hammer City Roller Derby Girls, The Mandavilles, Chasers Juice, Joseph Tassoni, Pierogi Me, All Sauced, and Flower Child Bakery.

Nickel Brook is asking visitors to enter on Fairview Street at the Garden Centre and follow the instructions of their employees.

Physical distancing and other health guidelines are to be followed at the event, which is taking place fully outdoors.

The opening of Brewer’s Bazaar and Beer Garden coincide with other Canada Day celebrations taking place in Burlington.

Locals can jump online for a virtual Canada Day hosted by former Much Music and ET Canada host Rick Campanelli. The celebration is a full day of online activities and performances by local artists and groups including country star Tim Hicks.

A virtual fireworks display presented by Bunzl will round out the day. A schedule for the event can be found here.
