Global Fitness and Nutrition Centre holds liquidation sale

Last month, Players Paradise announced they’ll be closing their doors on October 31. The abrupt closure of the sport complex is to make way for a Green Relief Inc. medicinal cannabis grow-op.

Global Fitness and Nutrition Centre is one of the several tenants affected by this closure. With less than two months to move out, Global Fitness was left scrambling to decide what to do with their business.

When the closure was announced, Global Fitness owner John Vermae was only partway through his five-year lease. His business was doing incredibly well, from reaching admirable monthly sales to securing a loyal group of clientele across the GTHA.

Although Vermae is actively looking for a new space to house his business, he estimates that it will take anywhere between three and six months to open again.

Rather than paying thousands upon thousands of dollars to relocate and store his fitness equipment, Vermae is planning a liquidation blow-out.

Items up for grabs include dumbbells, squat racks, treadmills and other various pieces of equipment. As far as his smoothie and protein shake bar is concerned, store fixtures – including an ice machine – will be available during the sale.

Anyone who has a serious interest in any of these items is asked to e-mail Vermae at globalfitnessnutrition@gmail.com. Whatever doesn’t sell via e-mail will be incorporated into an everything-must-go blowout sale scheduled for September 15.

Vermae plans to close Global Fitness and Nutrition Centre’s doors by the first week of October.
