Gore Park will have a Ferris Wheel this December

This holiday season, the Downtown Hamilton BIA is pulling out all the stops to make sure Hamilton experiences a December to remember. Starting December 7, Gore Park will bring out the holiday spirit in everyone with their Christmas Tree of Hope, Christmas Market and Ferris Wheel.

Coming back for another incredible year is the Christmas Tree of Hope. Presented in partnership with City of Hamilton, CHML/Y108/95.3 Fresh Radio and the Downtown Hamilton BIA, the lighting of this immaculate tree is something you don’t want to miss.

On December 7 from 5 – 7 pm, come down to Gore Park and enjoy live music, selfies with Santa and free maple taffy. The tree will be lit at 6:30 — a great sight to see for kids and Christmas lovers alike!

On the east side of Gore Park there’ll also be a Christmas Market. Open for one weekend only, the market will feature artisan vendors, a Christmas play, mulled wine, carollers and a DJ Dance Party.

As the market is presented in partnership with Toast Wine Bar and Redchurch Café + Gallery, there’ll be plenty of specials available from both shops. The market will be open December 7 – 9.

New to Gore Park this holiday season is the Ferris Wheel. Open from December 7 – 23, Hamiltonians are welcome to take a spin on this exciting attraction and get an incredible view of the city. The Ferris Wheel will be open from 12 – 8 pm daily with all rides being free.

The only date where the Ferris Wheel’s hours vary is December 7. It’ll be open to ride between 3 – 9 pm during the Christmas Tree of Hope lighting.
