If you’re going to jaywalk, you should probably be aware of what’s on the other side of the street.
Reddit user sezar4321 posted dashcam footage of a jaywalker on Concession Street across Juravinski Hospital who carelessly wanders across the road, stopping the car in its path.
As the jaywalker stares down the vehicle, he fails to pay attention to the hydro pole directly in front of him and smacks right into it.
It’s a good thing the hospital is located on that side of the street.
Reddit user FLORIDA–STANLEY summarized the incident perfectly: “I love how he’s trying to give you the stink eye, thinking he’s somehow in the right. Then wham, pole to the face. God bless this pole.”
What’s even more infuriating about this particular act of jaywalking is that there are an abundance of crosswalks on this stretch of Concession, including a dedicated pedestrian crossover further down the street.
I guess some people just have to learn the hard way.
Let this be a lesson to all pedestrians: move your head in more than just one direction and don’t be a jerk to drivers when you know you screwed up.
