Eastgate Square’s indoor trick-or-treating is a solid option on a soggy Halloween

Since most of Southern Ontario is under a rainfall warning this Halloween, Eastgate Square’s safe trick-or-treating event might be the perfect option to avoid the soggy weather in Hamilton.

Back for its 16th year, the event offers a safe, and dry, trick-or-treating experience between 5 pm and 6:30 pm on October 31stFamilies are invited to visit the mall and trick-or-treat from store to store. That way, Hamiltonians who want to stay a little warmer and drier don’t have to miss out on the Halloween fun tonight.

For a minimum $2 donation to Habitat for Humanity in Hamilton, children aged 12 and under can collect treats from participating stores as long as the children are accompanied by an adult. Donations will support the Habitat Hamilton’s Home Build Program.

Many storefronts will be decorated for Halloween and mall employees will be getting into the spirit to create a festive atmosphere.

Mystery prizes will also be given away to random trick-or-treaters. Families are encouraged to arrive early as supplies are limited. Families from the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre as well as children with disabilities will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat after the public event from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
