This scenic hiking tour shows the history of Hamilton’s waterfalls

Almost every day this Fall, hoards of Hamiltonians are expected to hike the many scenic trails our city has to offer, to take in the changing leaves, breathe the crisp autumn air and, of course, see our city’s famous waterfalls.

While locals with woodsy wanderlust will be deeply familiar with the gorgeous array of waterfalls in Hamilton, people may not know much about the history of those waterfalls and their surrounding natural areas.

That’s where Redback Tours comes in, as they host special Sightseeing Tours of Hamilton’s waterfalls over the next few Fall weekends.

Hikers will be invited on a luxury bus that travels one-by-one to three key waterfall destinations in the city, followed by short hikes to explore each stunning natural phenomenon. On each journey, a guide will deliver fascinating history and facts about the area you’ve set foot in, so you can take in new local knowledge and gorgeous scenery at the same time.

At the end of the three journeys, the bus will take participants for one final stop into downtown Dundas to explore the shops and have a gourmet pizza lunch, because who doesn’t love pizza after a good hike?

The Hamilton Waterfall Tours kick off each Sunday and Monday through October. Tickets and more information are available on Redback Tours website.
