We are in the midst of the fall reading series, fall book launches and other fall literary events. It’s great to see Hamilton’s literary scene thriving with an explosion of independent bookstores supporting local authors.

James Street Bookseller and Gallery will be hosting the book launch of Monarchs by the Sea. The book is an illustrated rhyming royal fable that is suitable for adults and children.
On November 16th at 2 pm, the author Lance Darren Cole will be doing a live reading. Also, there will be a collection of original oil paintings by illustrator Nicholas Blicharski that are featured in the book.
Visitors can purchase an autographed copy of the book at the event.
James Street Bookseller and Gallery has also been in the bright lights of Hollywood. The store is one of the featured locations in the Apple TV+ show Ghostwriter. The show premiered on November 1st on the streaming platform.
Ghostwriter is a remake of the 90s children’s classic about a ghost in a neighbourhood bookstore who brings a group of kids together as they work to free fictional characters from works of literature.
