Shawn & Ed Brewing is gifting beer to Hamilton’s frontline workers

One of Hamilton’s favourite local craft breweries is saying thanks to the city’s frontline workers in its own special way.
Shawn & Ed Brewing Company, a Downtown Dundas staple known for crafting easy-drinking and well-made lagers in their gorgeous historic space, has started an initiative where locals can nominate a frontline worker in their life to receive the gift of delicious local beer courtesy of the brewery.
“We have committed to buying up to 25,000 beers to show gratitude to all the Hamiltonians working long hours to keep the community healthy and safe,” said Shawn & Ed Brewing on their Instagram about this generous #FrontlineFriend initiative.
But what exactly is a #FrontlineFriend? According to Shawn & Ed, it’s just about anyone putting themselves and their health on the line to continue providing essential services during this terrifying health crisis, like medical professionals, postal workers, grocery store employees, public transit operators, and more.
To nominate and recognize the frontline worker in your life, all you have to do is share a photo of them via Instagram or Facebook and tag the brewery in your post. Then, Shawn & Ed will gift them a four-pack of beer, which can be obtained through contactless curbside pick-up at the Dundas brewery. Naturally, the recipient must be of legal drinking age to qualify.
