In a spot of positive news amid so much uncertainty, Ontario has reported zero new COVID-19-related deaths in the province for the first time in three months.
Monday’s update on the provincial status of COVID-19 showed 154 new confirmed positive cases across Ontario, and also notably marks the first time no new deaths have been reported in a daily update since March.

To date, Ontario has reported 35,794 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the province, with 31,266 of those considered resolved and 2,689 cases that resulted in death.
However, news also comes alongside a small increase in reported COVID-19 cases, at 154 new cases compared to Saturday’s reported 138 cases and Sunday’s reported 121 cases.
Ontarians are encouraged to continue adhering to all of the usual health & safety protocols to help ensure the province avoids a spike in COVID-19 cases: practice physical distancing, avoid gathering in large groups, stick to seeing people within your 10-person social circle, wear a mask or face covering in public spaces, and regularly wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer.
