There are now 3D virtual tours for all of Hamilton’s museums

While many of Hamilton’s civic museums have reopened to public access (including Dundurn Castle), some locals may be understandable wary of jumping back into attending in-person events and activities again just yet.

That’s why local history and heritage buffs should be excited to find out that those Hamilton civic museums have also launched 3D virtual tours of their spaces, which allow users to take in some of the museum experience from the comfort of their computer screens.

The comprehensive series of virtual tours includes 130 panoramic scenes, 650 clickable hotspots where virtual visitors can learn more about what they’re looking at, and audio navigation to help streamline the experience.

The museums and heritage sites on offer for virtual tours include Dundurn Castle, Whitehern, the Hamilton Children’s Museum, the Hamilton Military Museum, Fieldcote Memorial Park, the Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology, Griffin House, Battlefield House Museum, and the Hamilton & Scourge War Ships.

These virtual tours are an awesome way of getting acquainted with Hamilton’s fascinating history & heritage in a totally risk-free way, so jump on in and start exploring!

To access the virtual tours of Hamilton Civic Museums, check out the City of Hamilton website.
