Heads up, Hamilton drivers: a stretch of Queen Street South is set to be closed to traffic for the next month or so.
As of August 5th, the city has closed the roads off to through traffic on Queen Street South between Charlton Street West and Aberdeen Avenue, as well as Herkimer Street between Locke Street South and Queen Street South.
The closure is in place for the city to complete a two-way conversion project on Queen South, part of which involves the installation of new traffic signals.

Residents who live along either of these closed sections will be provided local access, and those who use the HSR and typically travel through these areas can view the impacts and detours on the City of Hamilton website.
The closure is expected to finish by September 11th at the latest, and the city is predicting that the entire Queen South two-way conversion project will be completed sometime in November.
More information on this and other local road closures can be found on the City of Hamilton website.
