Hamilton reported 38 new confirmed COVID-19 cases over the weekend

As the entire province of Ontario continues to see an unsettling rise in new cases of COVID-19, Hamilton has released data from this past weekend revealing 38 new confirmed cases within the city.

This new spike in cases brings the total of known active cases in Hamilton to 98, with the overall total of confirmed cases since the start of pandemic now sitting at 1,141.

Of these total confirmed cases, 997 are now considered resolved and 46 have resulted in deaths.

This news comes today alongside Ontario’s record-breaking report of 700 new confirmed COVID-19 cases within a single day; the largest one-day uptick since the pandemic first touched the province.

Locals are reminded to stay the course and do their part to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Hamilton by staying home as much as possible (especially when feeling sick), wearing a mask when in enclosed public spaces, avoiding large gatherings, frequently washing your hands, and maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet from others in public.
