Free tickets are now available for Hamilton Mum Show in Gage Park

Hamilton’s famous Fall Garden & Mum Show in Gage Park is one of the cornerstones of the fall season; and this year, thanks to a move from city council, tickets to the event are absolutely free as a special gift to Hamilton residents amid a very tough year.

Best of all, locals who want to attend this year’s Mum Show are able to book their free tickets now through the city website; and dates are already filling up fast.

At the end of September, Hamilton city council’s public works committee voted to subsidize the admission fee for Hamilton residents who plan to attend The Mum Show in Gage Park; an event which also happens to be entering its landmark 100 year in the city.

Thanks to the vote, the usual $7.25 admission fee has been reduced to zero for this year only as a goodwill gesture in a move that will cost the city between $24,500 and $32,700, depending on how many attend.

If you’re a lifelong Hamiltonian, chances are you’ve been to at least one iteration of the Fall Garden & Mum Show: a family-friendly event featuring inventive seasonal floral displays, live entertainment, activities, food & drink, and more.

Though this year’s event will be significantly scaled back amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mum Show nonetheless promises to be a bright spot in a pretty dark year for the city and its citizens.

To book your tickets for the 2020 Hamilton Fall Garden & Mum Show, visit the city website.
