Hop heads and lager lovers, get ready: a brand new craft brewery is getting closer and closer to finally opening its doors in Hamilton.
Ambitious City Brewing Company has been sharing updates on their social media over the last year as they ready themselves to join the likes of existing local staples Fairweather Brewing, Grain & Grit, Merit Brewing, Clifford Brewing, and Collective Arts.
Construction has been underway at the brewery’s future taproom space at 202 Dundurn Street South, promising to fill the geographical gap between the craft beer spots further west like Fairweather and Grain & Grit, and the more central and eastern spots like Merit and Clifford.
In fact, Ambitious City Brewing’s owners Kyle Hart and Katelyn Price have been on site and doing much of the grunt work firsthand.
“Our love of craft beer and visiting breweries across Canada inspired us to open a brewery in our hometown of Hamilton!” they said in a post on Instagram. “With a background in construction we will be doing most of the work ourselves – what have we gotten ourselves into!?”
While an opening lineup of beers or a formal opening date have yet to be set, Ambitious City Brewing has been sharing progress regularly and promises to make its arrival in Hamilton sometime in early 2021! Check them out on social media to stay updated.
