Local businesses in Hamilton have been some of the most impacted establishments amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Many have relied on curbside pick-up or delivery to try to keep afloat, while others have decided to close their doors temporarily or forever.
The City of Hamilton has sent out a survey for people who own businesses in the area in order to better understand the impact of the pandemic and the resources they need to survive the rest of the year.

The Economic Development Division has partnered with Workforce Planning Hamilton to launch an enhanced survey to better understand some of the hardships businesses have experienced through most of 2020 and into this year.
Collaborations with the Hamilton, Stoney Creek, and Flamborough Chambers of Commerce and Hamilton’s 13 Business Improvement Areas has given them an opportunity to reach as many businesses in the area as possible.
They are trying to learn how they can better develop and implement activities, programs, and initiatives to assist and support business.
They are also looking to uncover important local labour force data, trends, and opportunities, as well as strengthen awareness of current issues.
Information provided by respondents to the survey will be used to help finalize the City of Hamilton’s 2021 – 2025 Economic Development Plan.
If you are a Hamilton business owner interested in answering 22 questions that will take up about 10 minutes, then head over to the survey here.
