Ten outstanding Hamilton residents have been selected to receive the 2020 Order of Hamilton, awarded by the city’s mayor in recognition of exceptional volunteer contributions that help make Hamilton a better place to live, work, and play.
The awards were presented at Mayor Fred Eisenberger’s Virtual New Year’s Levee to a collection of Hamiltonians who were nominated by community members for volunteering their time and energy to a wide variety of initiatives and causes within the city.

“It was a pleasure to come together virtually to recognize and celebrate these individuals who have dedicated their time and efforts to the betterment of our community,” said Mayor Eisenberger in a statement.
“Thank you to each recipient for everything you have done for our City and will continue to do in 2021.”
The recipients of the 2020 Order of Hamilton include Rabia Saleem Awan, Jim Cimba, Dr. Margaret Denton, Brenda Duke, Mary Elop, Anthony Frisina, George Geczy, Dr. Nadia Eva Rosa, Raven Van Bommel, and Robert J.
