Hamilton launches concierge service to support small businesses amid COVID-19

It’s tough out there for small businesses right now; and that’s why the City of Hamilton has launched a new concierge service that is there to support local businesses as they navigate the complicated ins and outs of operating in the COVID-19 era.

The initiative, launched by the city in collaboration with the Hamilton, Flamborough, and Stoney Creek Chambers of Commerce, is called The Hamilton COVID Concierge for Business and endeavours to be a ‘one-stop’ online resource and phone line dedicated to helping Hamilton’s businesses.

The website launched by the city features a comprehensive directory of services and resources, including information about operational restrictions, infection and prevention control for businesses, PPE & workplace safety protocols, and legal support.

On top of the online resources, the Hamilton COVID Concierge also has a special phone line that can be used from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm so local businesses can speak one-on-one with specialists to ask questions and receive handy tips about operating amid COVID-19.

“As our city slowly emerges out of its second shutdown, Hamilton businesses can count on the COVID Concierge for local support in navigating the new government regulations and programs,” says Keanin Loomis, President & CEO of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

“We are pleased to continue working collaboratively with the City of Hamilton and our local chambers to ensure business continuity and economic recovery.”
