Hamilton’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout expands to residents 70 and up

As of Monday, March 29th, COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Hamilton has further expanded to another portion of the local population.

Residents aged 70 and up are now eligible to book an appointment for their vaccine at a large-scale clinic, either through the online booking portal or by phone at 905-974-9848, option 7.

The city encourages as many eligible locals as possible to book online if possible, due to a high volume of calls at the vaccine booking call centre.

Alternatively, appointments can also be booked through one of the city’s mobile pop-up vaccine clinics by calling 905-974-9848, option 7. A list of the current mobile clinics is available on the city website.

“The Hamilton healthcare partners continue to make progress in vaccinating members of the community who fall into Phase 1 of the Province’s COVID-19 Vaccination Framework,” reads a release on the city website.

“We are pleased to announce that to date, we have administered approximately 87,945 doses of COVID-19 vaccine – with 12% of eligible Hamiltonians receiving a vaccine to date.”

Again I read today that people with chronic home care are on the list with those 70+ to get the vaccine. I’ve also been told this from the health chat. But when I try, nothing. Come on people. Get your act together.
