Hamilton residents ages 40+ in hotspots can now get a COVID-19 vaccine

If you’re a Hamilton resident aged 40 or above living in one of the city’s designated COVID-19 hotspots, you are now eligible to book a vaccine appointment at one of the city’s large-scale or mobile pop-up clinics.

The city announced on Tuesday afternoon that locals ages 40 and up living in targeted hotspot postal codes L9C, L8W, L8L, L8N, and L9K are now able to book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine.

Appointments can be booked by calling the city’s COVID-19 hotline at 905-974-9848, option 7. None of the clinics will be offering walk-in vaccinations.

On top of appointments at the city’s large-scale clinics, public health is also setting up two special pop-up clinics to help facilitate this new phase of vaccination rollout.

The first clinic will be at Salvation Army Meadowlands, located at 187 Stone Church Road West; and the other will be at Bernie Morelli Recreation Centre, located at 876 Cannon Street East.

Both clinics will be open from April 30th to May 2nd, with operating hours from 10 am to 12 pm then 1 pm to 3 pm each of those days.

If you’re over the age of 40 and not living in one of the city’s COVID-19 hotspots, you are still eligible to book an AstraZeneca vaccine through one of Hamilton’s pharmacies.
