Hamilton’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout expands to residents aged 60+

As COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues slowly but surely in Hamilton, the city has further widened its eligibility to a larger pool of residents.

As of Monday, April 6th, Hamilton residents aged 60 and over are able to book an appointment for their vaccination.

“The Hamilton healthcare partners continue to make progress in vaccinating members of the community who fall into Phase 1 of the Province’s COVID-19 Vaccination Framework,” reads a release from the city.

“We are pleased to announce that to date, we have administered approximately 111,578 doses of COVD-19 vaccine – with upwards of 17% of eligible Hamiltonians receiving a vaccine to date.”

Eligible residents can make arrangements for their COVID-19 vaccine using the province’s online booking portal. Alternatively, those who don’t have access to internet or a computer can book their appointment through the city’s COVID-19 hotline at 905-974-9848, option 7.

Those trying to book a vaccine are asked to be patient as Hamilton public health deals with a high volume of requests.
