Hamilton’s gritLIT Festival kicks off this week

Local lovers of literature are going to be in heaven, as Hamilton’s famous annual festival for readers and writers kicks off this week.

Entering its 17th year, the gritLIT Festival has become an annual staple of Hamilton’s literary community, bringing author talks, readings, workshops, and more to the city with days of exciting special events on offer.

Naturally, due to the limitations brought on by the pandemic, gritLIT’s 2021 programming will be hosted virtually, with particular emphasis on spotlighting some of Hamilton’s most exciting authors including Gary Barwin, Pasha Malla, Amanda Leduc, and Krista Foss.

These authors and many more from Canada’s emerging and established writing communities will be featured between Thursday, April 15th and Sunday, April 18th for a series of readings, interviews, panel discussions on intriguing themes, writing workshops, competitions, trivia games, and beyond.

If you love writing and reading in many forms, there’s no better place to be this week than engaging with the diverse digital content at the 2021 gritLIT Festival!

Check out the full schedule of events and grab your tickets on the gritLIT website.
