Looking for great fresh produce in Hamilton? ‘Lettuce’ tip you off on a new spot in town that’s got the goods.
With very few options for quality produce in the Barton Village area, a brand new boutique grocery store has opened its doors in the neighbourhood to help fill the gap.
Congratulations Barton Lettuce on your Grand Opening today! We just left with a nice bag bag of beautiful fresh fruit and veggies to enjoy over the next couple of days. So thankful for this awesome new business and neighbour here in #BartonVillage. pic.twitter.com/vQSvLRdJw9

Hamilton’s newest grocer is called Barton Lettuce, and they specialize in fresh fruits and vegetables out of their small storefront at 337 Barton Street East, around other village fixtures like Motel, Emerald Coffee, Crumbled, and the new Barton Salumeria.
Leafy greens, string beans, scallions, celery, carrots, bell peppers and beyond are available at Barton Lettuce, which celebrated its official opening this past weekend.
The intent of this new neighbourhood grocery store is to help provide an accessible means of obtaining nutritious produce in a community that lacks walkable options for these types of fresh groceries.
Barton Lettuce has already been warmly embraced by locals who have been readily stopping by to stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables; all provided by a brand new, independent grocer within an underserved section of Hamilton.
