Someone broke into Radius restaurant in Hamilton

Yet another of Hamilton’s beloved small businesses has experienced a break-in and theft.

Radius Restaurant, located at the corner of James South and Augusta, is one of Hamilton’s most popular spots for elevated dishes served in a sleek, modern setting. They even boast one of Hamilton’s largest outdoor patios.

Like all other restaurants, Radius has been forced to pivot and recalibrate time and time again throughout the last year of the COVID-19 pandemic; and those challenges have only been exacerbated by a break-in at the restaurant last week.

“Earlier this week we experienced a break-in and robbery at the restaurant,” reads a post on Radius’ social media about the incident, adding that – thankfully – no staff were impacted.

“There was theft of merchandise and equipment. Thankfully, no one was present during the robbery.”

The restaurant has said their team has pulled together to continue operations despite the setback, and they are working with law enforcement currently to address the incident.

“We share this story so that local businesses or families impacted by crime during lockdowns know that they are not alone. We sympathize. We intend to still shine bright through this challenge, together.”

Radius is hardly the first Hamilton small business in recent months to be impacted by a break-in. Numerous businesses in Barton Village – including Mosaic, Royal Flush Vintage Goods, and Stardust Bar – have experienced thefts and damages to their storefronts this year.
