As Hamilton continues its push to get as many residents vaccinated against COVID-19 as possible, local public health is hosting a number of pop-up and mobile clinics; including one this week made out of a repurposed GO Transit bus.
Public health has dubbed this mobile clinic the GO-VAXX Bus, and it will be making stops this week on August 19th and 20th in select locations around Hamilton.

First, it’ll be rolling into Valens Lake Conservation Area in Flamborough on August 19th from 10 am to 2 pm. Walk-in appointments will be available for first and second doses to eligible residents ages 12 and up, and admission to the conservation area is free of charge to those attending the clinic.
Then, the GO-VAXX Bus moves to Rockton Fairgrounds the same day from 4 pm to 8 pm, once again offering walk-in appointments for first and second doses.
Finally, the big green bus will be parking at Rosedale Arena at 100 Greenhill Avenue on August 20th from 9 am to 7 pm for an all-day walk-in clinic for first and second vaccine doses.
Hamilton’s vaccination rates have slowed considerably and the city is urging anyone who has yet to receive their doses to get them as soon as possible; particularly as a fourth wave of COVID-19, driven by the more infectious Delta variant, is on the rise.
