Hamilton public health has partnered with Spectra to launch special “Get Back to What You Love” nights at the FirstOntario Centre COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
The large-scale clinic – which is set to close after August 29th – will be offering evening vaccine appointments on Friday, August 20th and Saturday, August 21st from 6 pm to 11 pm each night.
The appointments are open to all eligible Hamiltonians born in 2009 or earlier who still need their first and/or second doses of a valid COVID-19 vaccine. Appointments are open for walk-ins, with the clinic offering the option of Pfizer or Moderna’s mRNA vaccines.

But best of all, attendees can stick around after their shots on both days to celebrate with free music and prize draws; and on Saturday exclusively, those who receive their vaccine are invited to bring along their skates and one friend to enjoy a free public skate on the FirstOntario Centre rink.
The hope is that the addition of some fun activities will help encourage locals who have been putting off vaccination to get their shots, particularly as the threat of the more infectious Delta variant becomes more prevalent city-wide.
Those who cannot attend FirstOntario Centre’s vaccine clinic also have the option of getting their vaccine at primary care clinics, mobile pop-up clinics, and pharmacies all throughout the city.
