“We are excited to announce that we will be presenting another Tim Hortons Heritage Classic this season,” said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
“When the Toronto Maple Leafs meet the Buffalo Sabres at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, we again will honor Canada’s preeminent role in the history of our game while renewing a great and longstanding NHL rivalry.”
Tim Hortons Field – formerly Ivor Wynne Stadium – is best known as the home of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and, more recently, Hamilton’s professional soccer team Forge FC. The stadium will also be hosting the 108th Grey Cup match on December 12th.
The 2022 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic hits the ice on March 13th, 2022 at 3 pm at Hamilton’s own Tim Hortons Field.
