Here’s how you can watch Hamilton’s Remembrance Day service

Today – Thursday, November 11th – is Remembrance Day, and the City of Hamilton is hosting a special service this morning that can be viewed virtually by the general public.

A small group of attendees will be at the service in person by invitation only, with the service set to take place at the Gore Park cenotaph at 10:30 am.

Those who want to tune into the ceremony can view a livestream of the event via Cable-14 or on YouTube via the city’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/user/InsideCityofHamilton.

Local residents and groups were invited to deliver a wreath they’d like to have laid at the Gore Park cenotaph before November 11th, and those wreaths will be placed on their behalf by members of the Hamilton Veterans Committee during the service.

Due to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional Garrison Parade will not be part of the Remembrance Day services this year following guidance from the Canadian Armed Forces.

Read more on the city website, and watch the live service at 10:30 am here.
