Hamilton Police partner with the Bulldogs to reward sober driving

Hamilton Police Service has partnered with hometown hockey team The Hamilton Bulldogs for a special initiative over the holidays.

In an effort to encourage and reward safe and sober driving, locals who get stopped by the police’s RIDE Program will have the chance to receive free tickets to a Hamilton Bulldogs 2021 home game, eligible for the game date stated on the tickets.

“The Hamilton Bulldogs and Hamilton Police want to make sure everyone is doing their part this holiday season by arriving alive and not drinking and driving,” reads a statement on the Hamilton Bulldogs website.

The program, which has been held in past years as well, launched at the end of November 2021 and will continue until January as the Hamilton Police help to address drinking and driving, especially over the holidays.

Residents who suspect impaired driving are encouraged by the Hamilton Police to call 9-1-1.
