Hamilton’s Santa Claus Parade hosts unique neighbourhood tour in 2021

Though pandemic concerns have once again impacted Hamilton’s annual Santa Claus Parade in its usual format, the parade has made a unique adjustment for its 2021 offering.

Rather than host one massive parade event this year, there will instead be a ‘Santa’s in the Hammer’ tour that brings Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus to different neighbourhoods throughout Hamilton for a distanced visit with locals.

Santa and Mrs. Claus have already started making their way to various local neighbourhoods, kicking their mini tour off on Sunday, December 5th and continuing to visit different sections of the city every day starting at 6:30 pm from now until Thursday, December 9th.

Though the famous Christmas couple won’t be able to cover the entire city, they’ll be hitting as many neighbourhoods as possible this week, allowing residents to say hello from their porches and driveways during these special visits.

The Hamilton Santa Claus Parade expresses that they know these visits aren’t quite the same as the full-on parade, but they’ll hopefully still be able to provide a dose of holiday cheer ahead of a (fingers crossed) return to the large annual event in 2022.

See the full schedule on the Hamilton Santa Claus Parade website.
