A shop for upcycled children’s clothing has opened in Hamilton

A new pop-up shop for stylish, upcycled baby and children’s clothing has opened its doors in Hamilton.

Coco & Rex, now open at 35 Pine Street just off of Locke Street, crafts clothing for babies and youth that is intended to be as fashionable and distinctive as it is high quality and sustainable.

Vintage band tees, faded denim jackets, and themed baby onesies are just the tip of the iceberg here, most of which is made from recycled and upcycled materials in an effort to rescue perfectly wearable materials from landfill.

The business was founded by husband-and-wife team Simone and Nelson, who named Coco & Rex after their own two young children and were inspired to launch the business after struggling to find clothing that was as fashionable as it was functional.

Coco & Rex has taken off in the months to follow, with a sizeable curated product line of attractive and eco-friendly clothing alongside a growing popularity in the Hamilton community and beyond.

Locals who want to pay a visit to Coco & Rex can visit their pop-up shop at 35 Pine Street, or shop online via their website!
