Hamilton now offering walk-in option for ages 5-11 at select vaccine clinics

Hamilton public health is now offering walk-in vaccinations for residents aged 5 to 11 at select clinics around the city.

This is an effort to expedite the rollout of doses to the local population amid the unprecedented spread of the highly infectious Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Beginning today – Monday, January 10th – eligible Hamilton youth can visit the clinic at Lime Ridge Mall on the Hamilton Mountain or the Centre on Barton clinic in the lower city and receive their shot without needing to book an appointment.

Hamilton public health continues to urge locals to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible in an effort to help blunt community spread and decrease the likelihood of severe disease outcomes.

“Hamilton healthcare partners and organizations from across the community continue to work around the clock to plan and evolve this significant expansion of local COVID-19 vaccine capacity to ensure as many Hamiltonians as possible, as quickly as possible, are able to receive the strong protection getting fully vaccinated and receiving a third dose of vaccine provides against COVID-19 and the highly-transmissible Omicron variant,” reads a release from the city.
