The Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) will be moving to a modified winter schedule beginning on January 23rd.
According to a release, this modified schedule will see numerous regular HSR routes reduced to summer-equivalent schedules in order to ensure consistent bus service while cases of COVID-19 continue to significantly impact the city and its workforce.
HSR is adjusting service levels to ensure we can continue to offer consistent service to customers who rely on transit as cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in the community and our workforce. The new schedule will be in effect January 23rd 2022 until April 30, 2022. pic.twitter.com/Phf6rzxY5X

Effective until Saturday, April 30th, the new schedule will introduce reduced services on routes 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 33, 34, 35, 41, 43, 55, and 58.
New schedules will be published on the City of Hamilton website, and local transit users are encouraged to download the HSRNow app on their smart phone for the most up-to-date information.
“With the rise in COVID-19 cases, HSR schedules and routes will be modified. It is imperative for us to make sure City of Hamilton residents have access to public transportation to navigate around the city while providing support to those who need time off while unwell,” said Mayor Fred Eisenberger.
“Thank you to the HSR operators who have worked throughout this pandemic and continue to step up ensuring dependable service and transportation, and thank you to the community for your understanding and patience. We must continue to work together and support one another as the situation evolves and changes take place.”
