Club Absinthe is moving to a new location in Hamilton

One of Hamilton’s most popular music venues and nightclubs is making the move from its current location.

Club Absinthe has been located at 38 King William Street for a full decade; but the venue’s new management has shared the news of their plans to relocate the beloved venue to a yet-to-be-announced spot in the city.

“The move to 38 King William Street in 2012 was risky, and through the obstacles of a global pandemic, new owners and beyond, we are proud to say that the few O.G.’s left standing came out on the other side swinging and ready for a bright new future,” wrote the venue in a post on social media.

“With a new take on a failsafe concept, we are ready to go back to the basics of Absinthe and continue the legacy that has been a Hamilton staple for almost 20 years!”

Absinthe has long been known as a spot for rockin’ concerts, raucous dance parties, and many other social events attracting a wide range of Hamiltonians.

Though it’s bittersweet to see the venue leave King William Street and set its sights on a new home, there are undoubtedly many lasting memories made in that space that will carry on long after Absinthe has made the move.

Further details are to be announced in the coming weeks.
