Beautiful art installations turn Barton Street into its own gallery

A stroll around Barton Village looks a little different nowadays.

That’s because the Barton Village BIA commissioned 15 Hamilton artists and art collectives for a series of public art installations called Anything is Possible on Barton.

The commissioned artists have used their respective visual arts disciplines and distinct aesthetics to turn a variety of vacant storefronts on Barton Street into evocative art displays.

“Drawing on themes surrounding the people, places and history of Barton St, these pop-up windows will share the story of this community and cultivate its identity as a place that values art and culture,” reads a message from the Barton Village BIA.

Running from now until December 2nd, locals can visit the Barton Village neighbourhood between Ferguson Avenue and Sherman Avenue to experience beautiful works by local artists like Andrew O’Connor, Kayla Whitney, Sunny Singh, Anthony Haley, Jordan Gorle, Par Nair, Quinn Rockliff, and many others.

Go take a leisurely stroll along Barton Street to take in some striking visual art made by some of the city’s best artists!
