Two Hamilton vintage shops put out free clothing for those in need

Just in time for the seasonal snap of cold winter weather, two of Hamilton’s favourite vintage shops are putting out racks of free clothing for those in need.

VintageSoulGeek and WINK by Out of the Past – both popular shops along King Street East in the International Village – have launched their separate initiatives, asking locals with extra clothing in good condition to drop it off as a donation to be added to the outdoor racks.

The initiative was first started by VintageSoulGeek, and WINK by Out of the Past was subsequently inspired to launch its own. The latter will also be sending a portion of donations to Living Rock Youth Resources in Downtown Hamilton.

Donations of warm clothing like hats, gloves, scarves, coats, and socks are especially appreciated as Hamilton braces for another cold, snowy winter season.

Locals who have suitable clothing to donate can drop by VintageSoulGeek at 279 King Street East and WINK by Out of the Past at 201 King Street East during their open business hours.
