Farm Boy is now open in Hamilton!

Farm Boy has officially cut the ribbon on Mohawk Road West this morning, marking the grocery store’s Hamilton debut.

Located in the former No Frills at Harvard Square, Farm Boy is Ontario’s fastest growing local fresh food retailer who bring a wholesome, healthy, fresh market shopping experience to customers.

Hamilton marks the chain’s 26th location and is already the second store opening in March alone. It’s evident that Farm Boy has some seriously ambitious expansion plans.

Ward 8 Councillor Terry Whitehead has stated that he is “quite delighted that Farm Boy has decided to invest into the Hamilton market” and remarks that “the timing, the product and the strong reputation of Farm Boy providing fresh, quality foods will be well received by this community”.

The reason people love Farm Boy so much is because they carry local products as much as possible with a heavy focus on food that’s high quality, organic and delicious.

Fresh produce outnumbers packaged items at Farm Boy with an abundant variety of fruits and vegetables, butcher quality meats, artisan cheese and fresh dairy.

In addition, there’s also a chef-inspired fast-casual restaurant (with Wi-Fi!) that also operates out of the space that includes made to order stone-baked pizzas, stir-fries, sushi, and from scratch treats. Hot food and a salad bar are also available for you to put together your own meal.

We’re certainly encouraged by Farm Boy’s sustainability efforts and their desire to help out local suppliers.

Judging by the lineup to get in today, it appears that Hamiltonians have welcomed the grocer with open arms.
