Relay Coffee is opening on King William

One of Hamilton’s most beloved roasters has announced that they’ll be opening a new location along downtown’s “restaurant row” on King William Street.

Currently, the roaster’s primary shop is located up the Mountain on Concession Street with stands at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market and Mohawk College.

The announcement of this new location came over social media yesterday, to many cheers.

The announcement mentions that the address is 27 King William Street, which is the former home of Rust City Brewery. The space will be significantly larger than Relay’s current mountain location. No official word if the Concession Street location will close and be consolidated into this new spot.

Given that the King William space was formerly serving coffee, the new location won’t need to undergo heavy renovation and as a result, we can expect a spring opening “sometime in May”.

Relay Coffee has been a staple in Hamilton, having recently celebrated their 10th anniversary.
