Industria Pizzeria + Bar is opening soon in Hamilton

If you’ve walked past the sizeable historic building on John Street South – a building that used to house the longstanding sports bar Tailgate Charlie’s – you’ve probably noticed a decidedly different establishment is moving fast to take up residence.

That would be Industria Pizzeria + Bar, a new restaurant that’s so close to opening, you can almost smell the rising dough and taste the tang of that red sauce.

The modern, rustic-chic Italian eatery has already been kicking around for a while in different parts of Canada, with established locations already in Burlington, Ottawa, and various parts of Quebec. Offering a polished yet laidback atmosphere with a menu of pizza, pasta, and Italian-style share plates, Industria is poised to be another welcome addition to Hamilton’s already-bustling Italian food scene.

Excitement in Hamilton is already pretty high, and luckily, foodies won’t have to wait too much longer. “Finishing touches are in place,” says Industria Hamilton on Instagram in a reply to an eager future patron.

That Instagram account has already teased delectable and inventive dishes such as fresh mussels, gnocchi poutine (yes, you read that right), arancini, and some very creative pizza options including a Nutella pizza and the eponymous Industria Pizza, which looks like a Big Mac in pizza form.
