Ready those bellies, Hamilton: one of the city’s key spots for playful pub food is getting a second location on Barton Street, just steps away from Hamilton General Hospital.
Duke’s Pub Pasta & Pizzeria, an offshoot of the popular One Duke Restaurant at the corner of James South and Duke Street, is preparing to open soon at 303 Barton Street East with a key difference from its established counterpart.
This new location, as the name suggests, is going to be focusing primarily on pub pasta dishes and freshly-made pizzas, designed with the same level of twisty invention that Hamilton foodies have come to expect at the original One Duke.
Highlights include their Cauliflower Taco Pasta, which sees penne topped with mango Alfredo sauce, deep-fried sweet chili cauliflower bites, and a grilled taco shell; the Nacho Pasta, which is a hybrid of a pasta dish and a fully-loaded nacho platter; and the Chicken Curry Pizza, made with the Duke’s house curry sauce and topped with all kinds of fresh ingredients.
Best of all, the wait for this new restaurant won’t be a long one; Duke’s Pub Pasta & Pizzeria is setting its sights on an opening date in the next few weeks. Keep your eyes peeled, Hamilton!
