Two Hamilton restaurants are giving free meals to paramedics today

Local Hamilton restaurants Mezcal & One Duke are partnering up again this week to show their appreciation to yet another group of frontline workers: paramedics.

Paramedics from all Hamilton hospitals are being encouraged to come visit either of the restaurants between 3 – 8 pm today for a special meal, on the house.

Previous recognized groups have been Hamilton Police, HSR drivers, and financial services.

“Each week it is an emotional and difficult decision for us to choose which group to recognize, as everyone out there working in our community, are all heroes in our eyes,” says One Duke restaurant in their Instagram post. “If we have 100 weeks of this we will recognize all groups, but we hope it doesn’t come to that. However, the message remains loud and clear. We appreciate you all.”
