Here’s a list of all of the Hamilton restaurants reopening their patios

As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, Hamilton gets to move into Phase Two of reopening the local economy this week.

Besides this meaning we can hit up the mall again or finally get a much-needed haircut, Phase Two also means that Hamilton’s famed restaurants and bars get the go-ahead to reopen for in-person service on physically distanced outdoor patios.

While some locals may be understandably wary of jumping right back onto a patio just yet, many Hamiltonians are also excited to finally get back into social activities once again while supporting their favourite local businesses.

Are you excited to get back on the patios again, but aren’t sure which restaurants will be participating?

Thankfully, local food blogger and influencer The Joyce of Cooking has done the work of compiling a master list of all Hamilton restaurants that will be reopening their outdoor patios for table service as part of Phase Two of reopening.

Joyce will be continually updating the list as more restaurants make announcements, and locals with information about local spots planning to open their patios are encouraged to send her the details by email.

Hamilton food fans will recognize many beloved restaurants already set to reopen with patios, including bougie brunch staple Motel, West Coast-style kitchen Berkeley North, Hess Village’s nostalgia hub Electric Diner, and sweet Southern spot Saltlick Smokehouse.

Many of Hamilton’s restaurants have been abuzz on social media, letting the public know that they’re also working quickly to get their outdoor patios ready to welcome guests for the experience of dining out once again.

In fact, some restaurants will even be taking advantage of the newly-instituted program that will allow them to build extended patios on roadways and in parking lots in order to accommodate more diners at once while maintaining proper physical distancing.

While many Hamilton foodies are surely craving the chance to sit on a patio and eat some kickass local food again, it’s also very important to maintain all of the currently recommended health & safety guidelines surrounding COVID-19.

Locals are discouraged from gathering with people outside of their households or outside of their new 10-person social circles. Physical distancing should still be observed, as should frequent hand-washing and the wearing of masks when it’s possible to do so. Hamiltonians should also stay home if they feel sick or are experiencing any potential symptoms of COVID-19.

Are you excited for patio season in Hamilton? What restaurants do you want to hit up first? Let us know in the comments!
