Greek Palace is finally reopening its doors

Hamilton foodies, rejoice! One of the city’s favourite spots for authentic Greek comfort food is officially reopening its doors after a lengthy hiatus.

Greek Palace, a well-loved staple of the downtown core and a long-time fixture of John Street, was initially closed for business amid a city construction project that was set to block off access to their storefront for the foreseeable future.

Then, of course, COVID-19 hit, which saw Greek Palace and many other Hamilton restaurants of all kinds having to make unforeseen adjustments to their business. In the intervening months, countless Hamiltonians have eagerly posted comments on Greek Palace’s social media posts, asking for updates on when the spot may be reopening.

Now, thankfully, we can all get our fix of that sweet souvlaki once again, as Greek Palace just announced its plans to officially reopen via social media!

As of July 20th, Greek Palace will once again be open for service, offering exclusively takeout and delivery until further notice. The restaurant will also be changing things up by doing service out of the restaurant’s rear door for now, which is accessible from the parking lot on King William Street just behind the building.

With countless locals rejoicing in the comments on Greek Palace’s reopening announcement, I think it’s safe to say that Hamilton is pretty excited about the return of this beloved food staple.

Greek Palace is at 26 John Street North, and will be reopening for service as of Monday July 20th. Check out their Instagram for details.
