This ice cream truck made from an HSR bus is making the rounds in Hamilton

With an abundance of balmy days in the forecast for Hamilton this summer, a magical hot pink HSR bus has been making a series of appearances all around town and dishing out one of the best hot weather remedies around: ice cream.

That ice cream comes courtesy of Crazy Cravings, a Hamilton-based, family-owned mobile ice cream parlour that has the added novelty of being made from an old converted HSR bus.

Hitting up a variety of neighbourhoods in Hamilton and the immediate surrounding areas, Crazy Cravings parks its massive bus curb-side, ready to serve up treats from over two dozen flavours of delicious Kawartha Dairy ice cream, from sturdy classics like chocolate and vanilla to more elaborate flavours such as birthday cake, black raspberry thunder, or rainbow sorbet.

Not enough deliciousness for you? Crazy Cravings also brings along a wide array of toppings – well over 40, in fact – to jack up that ice cream cone. Whether it’s Sour Keys and gummy worms, or chocolate toppings like Reese’s peanut butter cups or crushed Oreo cookies, this big ol’ rolling ice cream haven basically has it all.

With regular sightings of Crazy Cravings in places like Binbrook and Dundas, as well as numerous neighbourhoods around the Hamilton Mountain and lower city, you’ll probably see that bus park somewhere near you sometime this summer; and if you don’t feel the urge to grab yourself a treat, I don’t know what to tell you.

Follow them on Instagram to find out where Crazy Cravings is stopping next!
