Cake & Loaf Bakery is closing their Hamilton Farmers’ Market location

One of Hamilton’s favourite spots for all things sweet is going through some big changes.

Cake & Loaf Bakery, a Hamiltonian go-to for the best in cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, and other sweet treats has decided to officially close up their popular stand at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market; a decision motivated by the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cake & Loaf’s market location officially closed as of August 1st, after 4 full years of giving Hamilton Farmers’ Market patrons a serious sugar rush.

“During her four years, C+L Market made delicious waves in her small little footprint; building relationships with customers, fellow vendors and other small businesses,” said the bakery in their social media announcement.

“Through shopping local, supporting vendors and encouraging better communication and positive actions within the diverse market space, we hope we have left a mark.”

Thankfully, the closure of their market location in no way means Cake & Loaf is throwing in the towel; far from it, in fact.

The bakery will be keeping its original Dundurn Street location open and focusing all of its energy and attention to those operations under a temporary curb-side pickup model, with the potential for future expansion on the horizon as the city slowly reopens and readjusts to the current realities of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Show Cake & Loaf Bakery some love at their O.G. 321 Dundurn St. South location, and check out their website to place a sweet, sweet order!
