Hamilton brunch spot Papa Leo’s is reopening for takeaway

One of Hamilton’s favourite brunch spots has just announced that it will be reopening for takeaway service after months of complete closure amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Papa Leo’s Restaurant, located on Concession Street on the Hamilton Mountain, has long been a hot spot for brunch, with exceptional dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. A walk-in only restaurant, it wasn’t uncommon to see a line out the door of Hamiltonians waiting for a table.

However, like many local food establishments, Papa Leo’s was hit by the unprecedented realities of the COVID-19 pandemic and was forced to close up shop indefinitely in the interest of public safety. They’ve remained completely closed for months since.

Luckily, locals will finally get to taste Papa Leo’s delicious brunch food once again, as the restaurant has announced a partial return to offer takeout from its tempting menu of breakfast plates, sandwiches, omelettes, and more. The service is set to begin on Wednesday, September 9th.

While details on hours and takeout procedures are still to come, and a return to a sit-down restaurant format is likely still a while off for safety reasons, Hamilton foodies will undoubtedly be thrilled to see Papa Leo’s make a comeback!
